About the Role
Caspar Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking a talented and driven Power BI Developer to join our Analytics & Data Science team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining impactful business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a US-based multinational client and collaborate with a global team across diverse business functions, offering exposure to international projects, cross-functional collaboration, and real-world business challenges in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

Power BI Solution Development

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models aligned with business requirements
  • Build efficient and reusable data models using dimensional modeling principles (Star Schema)
  • Develop and optimize DAX measures to support analytical and reporting requirements

Data Preparation & Integration

  • Transform, clean, and prepare datasets using Power Query (M)
  • Collaborate with data engineering and upstream teams to ensure structured and reliable data sources
  • Write and validate SQL queries for data extraction and profiling

Performance, Security & Governance

  • Optimize datasets and DAX calculations for performance and scalability
  • Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure appropriate data access
  • Support deployment and lifecycle management within Power BI Service environments
  • Follow established governance, security, and reporting standards

Business Partnership & Enablement

  • Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs and analytical outputs
  • Partner with stakeholders to build intuitive and impactful dashboards
  • Document metrics, assumptions, and data definitions for consistency and self-service enablement
  • Promote best practices and reusable BI development patterns
Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with:
    • Power BI Desktop
    • Power BI Service
  • Advanced DAX knowledge including:
    • Measures
    • Context handling
    • Time intelligence functions
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Data modeling
    • Relationships and cardinality
    • Filter behavior optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Power Query (M)
  • Strong SQL skills for extraction and validation
  • Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) is preferred

Analytics & Visualization Skills

  • Strong understanding of visualization principles and dashboard design best practices
  • Ability to convert complex datasets into executive-ready insights
  • Experience building interactive dashboards with filters, drill-through capabilities, and tooltips

Business & Collaboration Skills

  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on usability, consistency, and quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise analytics environments
  • Familiarity with Azure technologies including Azure SQL, Synapse, and Data Lake
  • Exposure to Power BI governance, deployment pipelines, and Git integration
  • Experience supporting self-service analytics models
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300) or equivalent practical experience
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2–5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and business intelligence projects
Work Schedule & Collaboration

  • Typical work schedule begins from 12:30 PM IST onwards, depending on project and client requirements
